Introduction 

This session brings together experts in history engaged in current research and those who have interest in the historical development of the profession. The history of pharmacy offers a special approach to exploring the broad scope of the pharmacy field. It also creates a platform within FIP to create a network of pharmacists interested in history, and provides an opportunity for networking and collaboration in this matter.

Learning objectives

  1. Explain the historical development of the profession in different countries
  2. Identify how historical developments influenced the broad scope of the pharmacy field
  3. Inspire others to reach out to colleagues through history.
